As this seems to come up with a lot of the users here, I'll also introduce politics. Until recently, I registered independent, but just registered as a Libertarain, and I tend towards libertarianism philosophically, as well as the old-fashioned Republicans, as opposed to the neo-conservative/big spending/big government quasi-facist party it's sadly become. That being said, I have voted for Democarts from time to time. I'm also considering very strongly running for office at some point. Does this mean I won't date a liberal, conservative or neo-con? No. Sometimes the debate can be fun and interesting, as long as it's true debate; we might actually learn from each other. I am a sports fan and love the red sox and patriots. I enjoy swimming and am on my college swim team. I like all types of music, especially country. Im very laidback. I love going to the beach, hanging out with friends, partying, going to concerts, adventures, laughing, and having a good time. I love to travel everywhere, and especially loved going to Australia.

I'm not good at writing about myself but I will give it a shot. I'm a single dad, I have 3 children & they live with me. My son is 16 & my girls are 13 & 7. They keep me very busy with school & sports but I love it. I like to go out & watch a good local band or just play some pool when I get a chance. Originally I left my profile with the above paragraph assuming that others would gather that I'm a pretty typical normal girl and just ask if they wanted to get to know me. However I'm quickly learning that the individuals who write very little tend to be the ones I avoid, therefore I figured I should expand my own profile.

I'm a bit of a nerd honestly; I read a lot (not necessarily meaningful material all the time) and I'm interested in personality and psychology. I work hard and I'm one of those people that never calls in sick. I like to play pool and tennis although I'm terrible at both. Overall I'm the 'quiet type' and I can be very shy...eventually I usually wind up surprising people once I get comfortable enough to say what's really going on in my head.

To put it bluntly, I am very counter-culture. I Hate stupid things like "American Idol" and what currently passes for "News" in America. Celebrity bullshit and kissing up to your corporate "masters" on the air is NOT news.

I think most American's are asleep and/or among the living dead. Walking around without a purpose in a dull 9-5 life, waiting until the government says it is ok to die.

I own my own house and business so make my own hours. This means that for the most part I can do what ever I would like whenever I want with a few exceptions during the M-TH week.

The weekends you will find me playing with people of like mind that gather around the underground type clubs in Boston.

At the moment, my biggest passion would be education (both scientific & spiritual). I love to learn. If I watch TV it is usually the History, Discovery or Science Channels (ok, and Comedy Central). While I would not put myself into any one category, if you are curious I suppose you may say I have Buddhist tendencies.

As you may be able to tell, I am all about variety. In every aspect of my life.

You may find me in one of Bostonâ??s underground Industrial / Goth night clubs one night, then on a self sustaining alternative living organic farm wearing sandals the next day. (you may think this an exaggeration, but trust me it isn't)

I could not exist without both types of energy. I love the primal aspects and people zoo atmosphere of those types of clubs as it cators to my animal roots. But at the same time I long for the connections that come from the types of people who can be found down on the farm. Deeply spiritual people with strong connections to nature and earth.

I think every situation is a social experiment waiting to happen. I love watching people and learning from them. I add every observation into the huge pile in my head and will make predictions based on them.

You would be suprised how much you can learn about people from the small jestures the make, words they choose, way they hold themselves.

But I am far from all serious. Humor is a way of life for me. Ask anyone who knows me well and they would tell you I love to laugh and make others laugh. I will go through elaborate set ups and do very odd things just to get people to laugh. Seriously, I will sometimes spend a day or two just on the set up of a joke and then wait for the right time for the pay off... Muhaha.

All that being said, I am a very romantic, loving, caring and generous partner. I am extremely sensual & sexual. I want to feel a strong love, lust and desire for my partner and expect that the same would be said for her.

In a nutshell, I am an outside-the-box person. I don't fit into any mold. I am original and unique, and I like it that way. I see things in strange and funny ways, and I love when others pull me in different directions. When there's a curb in the road, I'll walk on it just to change my perspective. When there's ice, I'll walk on it just to feel off-balance. I'll ride the roller coaster again and again, even though I know I'll throw-up (and I will). I'll sing in public (out of tune) just to sing. I enjoy doing things I've never done before, and I'm up for just about anything. I ate uni (sushi) the first time without blinking. I've drank hot salsa right out of the bottle on a dare. I've got to try skydiving one day...haven't done that yet...

My worldview: I believe we only get a brief visit on this planet Earth, and therefore we need to find beauty in everything and drink in this gift that we have called "life". Because we only get one shot.

Other than that, I'm pretty low-key. Every battery needs some time to recharge. For downtime, I like watching movies under a warm blanket, listening to rain and falling asleep in someone's arms. I play poker often with friends, and I am a HUGE fan of the NFL, specifically the New York Giants (Patriots fans, please donâ??t hold that against me). I have fallen in love (again) with TiVo. On my record list: Family Guy, Robot Chicken, Star Trek, Entourage, Nova - and a bunch of educational programs for my kids (and I include Star Trek in that list). It's amazing how many characters and plot lines I can name from Disney Channel shows...

I am looking for a deep thinker and a deep feeler, someone motivated to make the world better because of their efforts, even if it is only one person at a time. Someone who doesn't think too highly of themselves to laugh a lot, even at their own weaknesses. I believe the human condition is made of three parts: physical, rational and emotional. The balanced life is achieved when those three are most in balance with each other. I enjoy good conversation and wrestling with tough issues. I'm not so much interested in arguing certain views/beliefs as much as in learning why a person holds the views/beliefs they have. I am most attracted to people who know who they are and why they are. There's nothing better than a deep conversation over some wine and great cheese. Except maybe an evening of Star Trek reruns . . .

I tend to be pretty affectionate when my heart is swayed. I like a LOT of appropriate physical contact - holding hands, hugs, etc. - but I'm not into making scenes in public. I think of it this way: if other people look at us and think "Wow, look how in love they are!", then that's the right amount of PDA. Im pretty outgoing and i consider myself laid back. graduated in 2007, moved out here to Marlborough (though i still consider home Indiana) for work and to go to grad school. i like almost all music but old rock and country are probably my fav. but i'll listen to just about anything. i love to just hang out and meet new people. i like all sports and go out and play them whenever possible (not that im good at them!). i really like to make people laugh. i normally joke around a lot. hmm thats about it.. anything else ya wanna know just ask!

I am a tall, foreign-born, much-traveled (national and global) cosmopolitan man with an extensive background in high tech. My height is above average, with a proportional build. I look, act, and think 10 to 15 years younger than my age. I can be funny and witty in the right company. I would rather read and learn than watch TV; my reading is eclectic â?? anything from Le Carre to science, history, mathematics, and politics, with occasional light reading thrown in for good measure. I exercise often but am not fanatic about it. As an analytic problem-solver, I would rather study and analyze a problem to find an optimal solution. My thinking is avant-garde in most respects, consequently I am not very conventional but prefer results to dogma. My personal philosophy is to always do the best I can and then not worry about what happens. If the results are not to my liking, I figure out why and do better next time. As a result, I am generally easy-going but can be intense when I need to be.

I am in remarkably good shape, probably more the effect of good genes than anything else. However, I believe my being an optimist and always willing to see the bright side does contribute. I find it funny when chaps 15 years my junior come up to me and say "What can I do for you, young man."

I like children and get on very well with children of all ages.

Having been exposed to many different cultures, customs, and religions, I have learned to look for and find the commonalities that unite rather than the differences that separate.

For anyone that knows me (hopefully you will be one after you read this), I like to rant and ramble... because talking is one of my strengths ;)

I've always been one to spread myself too thin, because everything interests me. I attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI... its easier to spell/say) as an undergrad, and left a semester early to pursue my career as the CEO/Creative Director of Dragonfly Game Design.

In truth, this little box isn't going to succeed in summarizing my life... but that's what talking to people is for ;)

I'm a happy xenophile, glad to be in company for any (mis)adventure. Almost nothing can perturb me, but I'll pretend for the sake of a good argument. I get excited about math and crafts, enraptured in the outdoors, and engrossed in whatever I'm making or doing. The mix of serious and frivolous is paradoxical in me so I won't try harder than this to explain it here. Good smiles and bright sunshine fill my heart with joy. I'm typically happy and absorbed when alone or with friends, but can feel lonely in crowds.

Jeeze, I have no clue what to write here. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with that sentiment.
I prefer to talk to someone rather than read about them. It's far more interesting that way. But, hey, that might be just me.

What else...I don't really watch sports, other than the Red Sox. I love cooking and baking. I'm not a fan of cleaning, but I do it because I hate when something's dirty. So I'm also looking for someone who's not a total slob. I definitely enjoy doing new things, as long as it's not too scary, I'm sort of a wuss.
I enjoy taking my dog swimming in the summer. Speaking of water, I love the ocean/beach, and have been going to the Cape for the summer since I was a baby. My Mom has a place down there, so I still try to go as often as possible if I have a weekend off.
My dream house would be on the ocean, or I could probably settle for a lake.

I am about 5'6, and at last weighing, about 160 lbs. I am not ripped or anything, but not all together soft and squishy. I am a fan of video games, but real life always comes first. Ill admit their are a few titles that will always make me go a bit Ga-Ga, but those are all childhood memories types of games. Like I still remember sitting down with my mom playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. So whenever a new Zelda game comes out I kinda go a little crazy. But I have never missed work to play a game or shirked a responsibility cause of a game. I am a kid at heart, cant imagine that ever really changing. At the same time I can be responsible when the need arises. Though trying to avoid it seems to have become a bit of a pass time. Animals seem to like me and i have no problem with them. Love the friendly playful ones and feel a bit indifferent towards the ones that wanna lay down across the room and be all alone. And I wont pretend I don't have a little bit of hatred for people who have lived in America all their lives and still cant speak English. I must admit that bugs me to a very heavy degree. I mean I understand the 70+ little old lady not learning a new language, but like adults who are 20-30 who speak 10-15 words of English really bother me.
